We look forward to meeting you during your first visit to our Tucker or Marietta office. During this time, we'll help you get acquainted with our office and learn about your orthodontic treatment.

The first visit to a doctor's office can sometimes seem intimidating, especially for kids. But, your first visit to Duo Orthodontics will be completely pain-free.
Every patient's orthodontic treatment is different, and we promise to give you the personal attention you deserve.
Once you've checked in, we'll escort you to your treatment room and take a few X-rays and scans of your teeth and bite.
Then, you'll meet your orthodontist, Dr. Nick Kim, who will spend a few minutes discussing your goals and expectations before performing an exam.
Dr. Kim will share his findings with you, review earlier images, and explain your treatment options. If you're bringing your child to see us at our Tucker or Marietta office, the process will be the same, but you can accompany them the entire time.

During your first visit, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask your own questions as well!
- Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
- Is treatment needed now, or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption, or other factors have occurred?

Creating Your Individualized Treatment Plan
Once we've answered your questions, it's time for you to choose your braces—traditional metal, clear ceramic, or clear aligners. You may wonder which choice is right for you—traditional braces or clear aligners.
You can experience treatments with both braces and clear aligners if you desire. For example, you can start with traditional metal braces and finish with clear aligners (and vice-versa).
Dr. Kim will take as much time as you need to answer your questions and decide what kind of treatment is best for you. We will then walk you through the process, explaining everything from scheduling and expected discomfort levels to finances and payment options.
